AMBASSADORS CLUB OF EBEN BOOKLET 2020 25 TSETIS GROUP OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES OFET: Solidarity, contribution and responsibility, our antidote The most serious global health crisis of the last 100 years that we are experiencing from the beginning of 2020, the Pandemic COVID-19, has simultaneously proved to be a strong challenge for solidarity, contribution to society and corporate responsibility. All Companies in Greece- especially in the pharmaceutical and health services sector - reacted from the very beginning of the pandemic, with directness and absolute responsibility, cooperated with the Public Sector and supported fully the vulnerable Health System and the patients. Hours of responsibility, hours of action. With the above-mentioned motto, the Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group of Companies (OFET Group) reacted immediately from the very first moment of the pandemic, since the issues of Corporate Responsibility are crucial and high on OFET Group’s agenda. Ethical Business is a way of life and a philosophy for OFET Group and this, in recent months, has become more than clear. As noted by Mrs. Ioulia Tseti, president and CEO of the Tsetis Pharmaceutical Companies Group (OFET), “our Group has clearly proved that it does not bend from the difficult and the urgent issues, on the contrary, the strong challenges rejuvenate it! The three major donations of Unikinon (with chloroquine as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) by Uni-Pharma S.A. and antiseptics by InterMed S.A. to the Greek and Cypriot Health Systems respectively are nothing more than our ethical debt to society and the patient, at the time of emergency. An ethical debt, emanating from the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy of OFET. According to Ms. Tseti, “the pandemic is not just a serious health crisis, which has threatened almost all health systems and the economies of even the most powerful countries, it is also an awakening shock, which has brought to the surface, serious shortcomings, failures, but also the weaknesses of the whole of Europe, demonstrating a serious necessity: The time has come for the European Union to become self-sufficient, more resilient and socially aware, and when that happens, it will be able to act in real solidarity and equality with its members”. UN Global Compact: On the road to sustainable development & TELEIA… Uni-pharma & InterMed, have been proud members of the United Nations Ecumenical Pact (UN Global Compact) since January 2016. As well the two industries, belongs from December 7, 2020, to the family of 25 MOST SUSTAINABLE COMPANIES IN GREECE 2020. The motto TELEIA, is the acronym of the Group's philosophy and concerns corporate VALUES of OFET Group. TELEIA is translated in particular, as follows: Teamwork, Ethics, Learning, Excellence, Innovation and Accountability. Other actions of OFET Group, are the following: We consciously protect our Environment and our ecosystem With the mottos "Save The Sea" and "U&I Green" (Uni- Pharma & InterMed but at the same time "You and I Together We Care about the Environment”), the dynamic "Green Team "of the Tsetis Pharmaceutical Group of Companies, is activated and implements, on an annual basis, underwater and coastal cleanups, with the aim to protect the environment and the aquifer. The AMKE KLEON TSETIS Foundation, by providing scholarships, constitutes a support for the new generations. SCIENCE ON THE GO. A mobile science laboratory, which travels all over the Country MISSION OF LIFE , a health program with medical visits to remote areas and cooperation with the Hellenic Endocrinological Society and local Medical and Dental Associations , for information and preventive examinations to local citizens. The blood donation team of OFET Group, the “DROP OF LIFE”, performs Voluntary Blood Donations, in collaboration with the Agia Olga hospital. OFET's Running Team has been supporting the recent year the Organization “ALMA ZOIS” and all the brave women fighting against breast cancer. MAGIC DIABETES BUS: In December 2019 for 5 days, we had the opportunity to support another important action of the NGO “GUIDED BY THE DIABETES”. Two more actions, of smaller scope, but equally essential, are the PRINCIPAL CELL - Association of Voluntary Bone Marrow Donors in collaboration with the Hellenic Hematological Society and the “Dental Run”, a new action in collaboration with the GREEK PHARMACEUTICAL STUDENTS’ FEDERATION.
